태국 방콕 반값택시 볼트

방콕에서 가장 활성화된 차량 호출앱은 그랩이다. 그랩차량뿐만 아니라 일반 택시까지 호출된다. 그다음 2위는 볼트다. 그랩보다 저렴한 가격에 거의 비슷한 수준의 서비스를 제공한다. 방콕에도 인드라이브가 있는데, 발리와 마찬가지로 제일 저렴하지만 서비스 수준이 미흡할 수 있다. 이런 택시앱들은 범죄문제에 항상 노출되는데, 그랩과 볼트는 범죄기록을 보고 인증한다고 하더라. 인드라이브는 신분증 인증 정도만 하는 것 같다. 그랩과 볼트를 비교하면 여행객 성향에 따라 선택하면 된다. 시간을 아끼고 조금 더 주고 편하게 이동하려면 그랩, 10분정도 더 걸려도 택시비를 아끼고 싶다면 볼트. 

1. Choosing the Right App for You
In Bangkok, Grab is the most widely used app, allowing you to call both private cars and regular taxis. Bolt ranks second, offering almost identical service levels but at a more affordable price. There’s also inDrive, which is the cheapest (just like in Bali), but the service quality can be inconsistent.
When it comes to safety, Grab and Bolt are known to conduct background checks on drivers’ criminal records. In contrast, inDrive seems to rely mostly on basic ID verification.
Go for Grab if you prioritize time and convenience (higher price, faster pickup).
Go for Bolt if you want to save money and don't mind waiting about 10 minutes longer.

그랩은 공항 1층에 별도의 그랩존이 있어, 사용하기 편하다. 콜도 제일 잘잡힌다. 대신 제일 비싸다.

볼트는 별도의 존은 없고, 콜을 잡아야 하는데, 방콕 공항이 층이 여러 개다. 새벽에 도착하면 입국장 2층 4번, 5번 게이트로 나오게 된다. 출국장에 들어오는 차를 잡아 다시 타고 나가는게 제일 쉽기 때문에, 블로그나 커뮤니티에는 4층으로 이동해서 잡으라는 팁이 있다. 실제로 2층에서 콜을 부르니, 무조건 어디냐, 사진을 보내라고 요청한다. 곧 가겠다고 하고 오다가 취소하는 경우도 많았다. 2층 자체도 매우 복잡해서, 우릴 못찾고 지나가기도 했다. 하지만 결국 2층에서 타긴 탔다. 앱에 몇층 몇번 게이트라고 출발위치를 지정 할 수 있지만, 크게 도움이 되진 않았다. 요즘은 볼트나 인드라이브도 priority라고 해서 50바트 더주면 금방 잡히긴 한다. 우리돈 2천500원 정도니 안잡힐땐 바로 하자. 

2. Airport Pickup Tips: Grab vs. Bolt
Grab: There is a dedicated "Grab Pick-up Point" on the 1st floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport, making it incredibly easy to use. It has the highest dispatch rate but is the most expensive option.
Bolt: There is no dedicated zone, so you must coordinate with the driver. If you arrive late at night/early morning, you’ll likely exit through Gates 4 or 5 on the 2nd floor (Arrivals).
Pro Tip: Many travelers suggest going to the 4th floor (Departures) to catch cars dropping off passengers.
Real Experience: When calling from the 2nd floor, drivers often ask for your exact location or photos. Cancellations are frequent because the 2nd floor is very congested. While you can specify the floor and gate number in the app, it’s not always foolproof.
Need a fast ride? Use the "Priority" option on Bolt or inDrive. It costs an extra 50 THB (about $1.50 USD), but it gets you a car much faster. 

2025년 12월 기준으로 방콕에서는 반값 택시를 탈 수 있다. 바로 볼트에서 50% 프로모션을 하고 있기 때문이다. 사용방법은 볼트앱->왼쪽위에 3줄 메뉴 버튼->위에서 두번째 promotions. enter promo code에 입력하면 된다.

TMEMBER50을 먼저 입력해서 50%쿠폰 두장을 받는다.

그다음 TMEMBER30을 넣어서 30%쿠폰 두장을 받는다.

12월까지 유효기간이 있으나, 매달 프로모션 코드를 찾기는 쉽다.

3. December 2025 Exclusive: Get 50% Off Your Bolt Ride!
As of December 2025, you can ride Bolt at nearly half price using promo codes.
How to Apply:
Open the Bolt app → Tap the menu (three lines) in the top left → Select 'Promotions' → Enter the codes below:
TMEMBER50: Get two 50% off coupons.
TMEMBER30: Get two 30% off coupons.
Note: These codes are valid through December, but similar codes are usually easy to find every month.

 

그랩으로 호텔까지 320바트, 볼트로 290바트, 인드라이브로 260바트.

50% 쿠폰을 적용해서 190바트로 이동했다. 145바트가 아닌 이유는 최대 100바트까지 할인된다.

그리고 방콕여행중에 남은 50%쿠폰 1장이 먼저 자동 적용되는데, 볼트앱->promotions으로 이동해서 30% 쿠폰 apply 누르면 먼저 쓸 수 있다. 나머지 1장남은 50% 쿠폰은 출국때나, 장거리 이동때 쓰자.

참고로 볼트는 한국에서 카드등록이 안된다는 글이 있어서, 방콕에 도착한 후에 등록했다. 토스체크카드나 트레블월렛이나 다 된다. 

4. Real Price Comparison & Payment
For a trip to the hotel:
Grab: 320 THB
Bolt: 290 THB
inDrive: 260 THB
Bolt (with 50% Coupon): 190 THB
(Note: The 50% discount is capped at 100 THB, which is why it wasn't exactly 145 THB).
Smart Tip: The app usually applies the 50% coupon automatically. If you want to save the big discount for a longer trip or your ride back to the airport, go to 'Promotions' and manually click 'Apply' on a 30% coupon first.
Payment: Some users report issues registering cards on Bolt while still in Korea. I successfully registered my cards (Toss, Travel Wallet, etc.) after arriving in Bangkok.
